Bob Montgomery

Bob Montgomery serves as the Vice Chancellor of Information Technologies and CIO at Oakland Community College, advocating for both academic and administrative IT solutions for one of the largest community colleges in Michigan with approximately 70,000 students. With a background that includes strategic leadership roles such as Executive Director of IT at Oakland Community College and Adjunct Faculty at Lawrence Technological University, Montgomery has extensive experience in academic technology, data infrastructure, and IT consulting. Previous positions also include Manager of Infrastructure & Communications Applications at ASC Incorporated, where oversight of voice, data, video communications, and project management was key, as well as Senior Product Specialist at Ameritech Information Systems, focusing on advanced multimedia and data solutions. Montgomery holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Wayne State University and a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial & Operations Engineering from the University of Michigan.
