Rebecca Recco

Rebecca Recco is an experienced education professional with a robust background in art education and digital learning. Currently serving as an Instructor at California State University - East Bay since June 2022, Rebecca prepares pre-service art teachers for their careers. Concurrently, as a Consultant for Hāpara since December 2021, Rebecca facilitates online training for educators and supports school sites in adopting digital learning tools. In addition, Rebecca teaches art to diverse students in grades 6-8 at Oakland Unified School District and has a long history of artistic practice, including executing public art murals. Previous roles include positions at Apple as a Distinguished Educator, founding an art program at Alpha Cindy Avitia High School, and initiating Edcamp CWV, West Virginia's first teacher-driven professional development conference. Rebecca holds a Master’s Degree in Digital Learning and Leading from Lamar University and multiple degrees in Art Education from Marshall University.
