Ryan Smith

Ryan Smith is an accomplished Early Literacy Specialist with extensive experience in K-12 education. Currently at Lifelong Readers Academy, Ryan has developed and implemented a successful early literacy program aligned with Common Core State Standards while managing multiple reading programs and collaborating with team members to track and improve program effectiveness. At Oakland Unified School District, Ryan contributes to instructional leadership by enhancing educational resources for educators. Previously at Newhall School District, Ryan designed and delivered professional learning experiences and led the Instructional Leadership Team. With a Master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Concordia University-Portland and a Bachelor's in Liberal Arts and Sciences from Westmont College, Ryan is dedicated to improving literacy and educational practices.
