Peter Thompson

Peter Thompson is currently the Chair at Oaklands College. Prior to that, they spent over 20 years in various leadership roles in the corporate world. This includes Head of Sports & Entertainment (including sponsorships) for Avaya, a global telecommunications company. In this role, they were responsible for identifying and delivering major sports & entertainment deals (including sponsorships) for Avaya across all geographies. Some of their recent major achievements include The Avaya Stadium in San Jose & Pepsi Center in Denver.

Prior to Avaya, Peter was a Principal Consultant with ICR/Arthur D Little. In this role, they led and participated in change management and technology enablement consultancy projects. Peter has also held leadership positions with Experian, AIG, and HSBC.

Throughout their career, Peter has demonstrated their ability to lead and deliver results in complex organizations. Peter's experience spans various industries including telecommunications, consulting, financial services, and technology.

Peter Thompson's educational career began at Whitley Bay Grammar School, where they studied economics, English, and geography. Peter then went on to study at The Wharton School, where they completed an executive program.
