Nia Phipps

Nia Phipps is an Analyst at Oaktree Capital Management, L.P., starting July 2024, following an internship at the same firm in Summer 2022. With a Bachelor's degree in Economics from Spelman College, Nia has also contributed as a Young Adult Leadership Council member at the National Center for Learning Disabilities and served as Treasurer for Future Business Leaders of Spelman and Vice President of the Baltimore Club. Participation in the AltFinance Fellowship program has provided Nia with valuable networking opportunities in alternative finance. Previous experience includes a Mentoring Program Lead role at HBCU First and a Brand Associate position at Old Navy, along with leadership as Travel Pathway Event Director for the Girl Scouts of Central Maryland. Nia has demonstrated strong leadership and organization skills across various initiatives, focusing on community engagement and awareness.
