Wally Adeyemo

Wally Adeyemo currently serves as the President of the Obama Foundation since August 2019, focusing on inspiring and empowering communities, particularly through the development of the Obama Presidential Center in Chicago. Adeyemo holds a position as a Non-Resident Fellow at New York University School of Law and has been a Senior Advisor at the Center for Strategic and International Studies since March 2017, as well as at BlackRock from June 2017 to August 2019, where advisory roles included macroeconomic and geopolitical guidance. Previous experience includes notable positions at the National Security Council as Deputy National Security Advisor and Deputy Director of the National Economic Council under President Obama, and as Deputy Chief of Staff at the U.S. Department of the Treasury. Adeyemo also held the role of Chief of Staff at the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau and has an educational background from the University of California, Berkeley and Yale Law School.
