Ian Olsen

Ian Olsen is an experienced petroleum engineer currently working as a Reserves Engineer at Obsidian Energy Ltd. since August 2023. Prior to this role, Ian served as a Senior Petroleum Engineer at Sproule from May 2022 to August 2023, focusing on tight reservoir performance and development engineering for multiple operators. Previously, Ian was an Intermediate Petroleum Engineer at Deloitte from June 2011 to May 2020, where extensive reservoir and resource studies were conducted across various formations. Ian began the career as an Engineer in Training at AJM Petroleum Consultants from May 2007 to June 2011, supporting reserve evaluations and gaining comprehensive industry training. Ian holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of Alberta, earned in April 2007.
