Michael Neal

Michael Neal is a seasoned software engineer with extensive experience in the maritime and ocean engineering sectors. Currently serving as a Staff Software Engineer at Oceaneering, Michael has previously held the position of Project Software Engineer at Oceaneering Intl. Inc. and has worked on the EDGESmart product as a Product Specialist. Michael’s earlier roles include Senior System Engineer at Kongsberg Maritime, where responsibilities involved configuring and installing equipment for offshore vessels and designing user-friendly interfaces. Contributions to various projects, including leading a student design team to create a biomimetic vessel and developing automated systems for a human-powered submarine, highlight Michael's engineering acumen. Michael holds a Bachelor of Science in Ocean Engineering from Florida Atlantic University and an Associate's Degree in Environmental Science from Santa Fe College.
