Kareem Zaher

Kareem Zaher is a seasoned technology leader with extensive experience in engineering and mentorship. Currently serving as Chief Technology Officer at Octane and a mentor at Brighteye Ventures and Plato, Kareem previously held the role of Director of Engineering for Europe at BetterUp, where significant initiatives included launching a GDPR-compliant platform cluster and transforming the organization's monolithic codebase to a modularized structure. Kareem's earlier positions include Engineering Manager at Booking.com, Senior Engineering Manager at Impraise, and co-founder and technical team lead at both elves and Konnecti, where notable projects involved developing complex systems, managing agile teams, and mentoring developers. Kareem holds bachelor's degrees in Electrical, Electronic, and Communications Engineering from Loughborough University and The British University in Egypt.
