Drew Barrett

Drew Barrett has extensive experience in renewable energy and investment management. Currently serving as the Head of Renewable Procurement at Octopus Energy since January 2012, Drew has played key roles at Octopus Investments, including Senior Investment Manager and Junior Portfolio Manager, where responsibilities included leading investment strategies for a £3bn renewable energy portfolio. As a Co-Founder of Plybl, Drew was instrumental in designing and manufacturing bespoke plywood furniture using mass customization techniques. Earlier career highlights include assisting in the development of large-scale subsidy-backed solar farms in the UK and an internship at Cleantech Group, where Drew supported projects for utilities. Drew holds a Master of Engineering in Chemical Engineering from the University of Cambridge, completed in 2011.
