Jon Solomon

Dr. Jonathan Solomon is a board-certified ophthalmologist specializing in laser cataracts and refractive surgery. For his activity in the ophthalmic academic community and for his spirit and compassion which extend beyond the surgical theatre, Dr. Solomon has been, recognized nationally as one of the "Top Doctors in America" by his peers, listed as one of Baltimore-Washington's Super Doctors for 2013, and identified as one of the "Top 40 under 40-The Power List" to watch by the publication, The Ophthalmologist in 2015.

As a fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, and International Society of Refractive Surgeons, Dr. Solomon continues to be an active contributor to the ophthalmic community. He has served as an executive board member of the Maryland Society of Eye Physicians and Surgeons and maintains his affiliation with the University of Maryland as a Profession in the Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Science as well as the official Terps LASIK surgeon. Dr. Solomon is also a founding member of the American-European Congress of Ophthalmic Surgeons and serves on the Accreditation Board and as a member of the distinguished Cornea Society. Previously Dr. Solomon served as a Clinical Instructor at the Wilmer Eye Institute at Johns Hopkins University. He remains active as a consultant to the FDA's Ophthalmic Device Panel.

Currently, Dr. Solomon is Medical Director of the University of Maryland, Capital Regional Surgery Center, and serves as Director of Research at the Bowie Vision Institute.
