Sharon Klier

Sharon Klier is a seasoned medical professional with extensive experience in clinical development and research. Currently serving as Senior Medical Officer and previously as VP and Medical Director at UNITY Biotechnology since January 2020, Sharon focuses on developing therapeutics to extend human healthspan through senolytic medicines targeting age-related diseases. Prior to this role, Sharon held the position of VP of Ophthalmology at Quark Pharmaceuticals from July 2015 to December 2019, contributing to novel RNAi-based therapeutics. Previous experience includes key roles at Allergan as Director of Clinical Development and at ISTA Pharmaceuticals as Director of Clinical Research, where management of clinical trials was a primary responsibility. Sharon's career began at Pfizer Pharmaceuticals as Director of Clinical Research. Educational background includes an MD from Technion - Israel Institute of Technology, an MS from Touro University, and an MPH and BS from UCLA.
