Sera Mishra currently serves as an Investigative Intern at the Office of the Public Defender Maryland, where responsibilities include conducting discovery research and evaluating transcripts. Additionally, Sera works as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at the UMD Department of Government and Politics, focusing on a research project related to conflict and human trafficking in the Sahel region. As President of Empowering Women in Law UMD, Sera organizes meetings and coordinates with legal professionals, while previously holding the position of Director of Programming within the same organization. Sera also manages social media accounts for Forward Motion Dance Company and has experience as reception staff at Mount Pleasant Vision Center, as well as serving as an Early Warning Analyst and Research Associate for Genocide Watch. Sera is pursuing education at the University of Maryland, following a high school diploma from Westlake High School.
