Enessa Janes

Enessa Janes, PhD, AICP, is a seasoned professional in urban and regional planning with extensive experience in community development and resilience. Currently serving as Senior Vice President at Ogilvy since September 2024, Enessa previously held the position of Director for the Department of Vibrant Community and Neighborhoods at the City of Arvada from March 2022 to July 2024, overseeing various lines of business, including urban design and sustainability. Prior roles in Arvada included Deputy Director of the same department and Resilience Coordinator in the City Manager's Office, where Enessa led emergency management initiatives. Enessa's earlier career involved contributions to FEMA through Resilience Action Partners and academic research at the National Science Foundation. Educational qualifications feature a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science from Stanford University, along with a PhD in Urban and Regional Planning from the University of Colorado Denver.
