John Lister

John is an Independent Non-Executive Director. He has over 3 decades of experience in the insurance sector and is a finance and risk specialist. He is currently the Chairman of the Risk Committee at Phoenix Life, Police Mutual Group and Pacific Life Re in the UK. He is the former Chief Risk Officer of AVIVA plc and Chief Financial Officer and Chief Actuary of its UK life and savings business. He was the former Chairperson of the Risk Committee of Delta Lloyd Limited, Netherlands, prior to its sale to the NN Group. He has significant experience and knowledge across a number of areas including capital management, risk management and regulatory engagement.
