Peter Germonpre is a seasoned finance professional with extensive expertise in event-driven strategies and special situations across global markets. Currently serving as Global Co-Head Event Driven & Special Situations at Olivetree Group since June 2024, Peter previously held the position of Global Head Special Situations at MARKET SECURITIES LLP from March 2016 to June 2024. Peter’s career encompasses roles as Vice President at Halcyon Asset Management UK, Senior Investment Professional at Burren Capital Advisors Ltd, and Investment Professional at both Sandell Asset Management and Silver Point Capital. Peter began in finance as a Mergers and Acquisitions Analyst at Mergermarket/dealReporter. An alumnus of The London School of Economics and Political Science with a Master’s degree in Finance and Accounting and a Master in Commercial Engineering from KU Leuven, Peter has demonstrated a strong foundation in financial analysis and investment strategies throughout a progressive career in the finance sector.
