Izuki Matsuba

Izuki Matsuba is a Machine Learning Engineer at OMERS since October 2023 and previously held the same title at Matterport from January 2021 to August 2022, where Izuki developed object detection models for 3D Lidar data. Prior experience includes serving as a Machine Learning Scientist at integrate.ai, contributing to the Trusted Signals Platform, and working as an Artificial Intelligence Specialist at 90meter, Inc., focusing on cybersecurity software testing. Izuki has also developed algorithms for a Bicycle Rider Re-identification system at Avanti R&D and conducted research at UCLA's Black Hole Research Group and Plasma Physics Laboratory. Educational background includes a degree from UCLA, complemented by an internship at Thomson Reuters focused on improving internal communication efficiency.
