Bernadette Francis

Bernadette Francis is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in development and fundraising within nonprofit organizations. Currently serving as the Major Gifts Lead at One Acre Fund since September 2022, Bernadette previously held several positions at the United Nations Foundation from May 2012 to August 2022, including Manager of Development for the Girl Up initiative, where Bernadette played a key role in empowering young women leaders for gender equality. Notable achievements include exceeding fundraising goals significantly while in the role of Senior Development Associate. Bernadette's earlier career includes roles as a Regulatory Specialist with the District of Columbia Government and a Management Analyst for Sedgwick County Government, along with advisory positions in academic settings.
