Colin Christensen

Colin Christensen is an experienced leader in the nonprofit sector with a focus on policy, government relations, and program management. Currently serving as the Global Policy Director at One Acre Fund since February 2015, Colin has significantly influenced policy collaborations with African governments to enhance the business environment for smallholder farmers. Previously, Colin held the position of Africa Director of Government Relations at One Acre Fund and was the Government Relations Director for Bridge International Academies, where efforts were concentrated on improving educational access for underprivileged children. Colin's earlier experience includes serving as Country Director for Innovations for Poverty Action in Kenya, where a considerable expansion of operations occurred. Educational credentials include a Master of Arts in Law and Diplomacy from The Fletcher School at Tufts University, a Master's in Peace Studies and Conflict Resolution from the University of KwaZulu-Natal, and a Bachelor's in History and English from The University of Texas at Austin.
