Waqas Ahmad

Waqas Ahmad is a Technical Engineer at Ontario Power Generation, specializing in Electrical and I&C Design Engineering and Procurement Engineering since January 2024. Previously, Waqas served as a Project Engineer/Analyst at Kinectrics, focusing on Skids Design and Fabrication and leading projects for Commercial Grade Dedication for OPG and Bruce Power nuclear generating stations from May 2019 to January 2024. Waqas also interned at Ontario Power Generation as a Performance Engineering Intern, where responsibilities included system monitoring and equipment reliability planning. Earlier experience includes roles as a Security Officer at Avro Protek and Contemporary Security Canada, and as a Market Researcher at The Logit Group, where Waqas received the Top Caller Award. Waqas holds a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering from Ryerson University, completed in 2019.
