Simon Hardy

Simon Hardy has extensive experience with the Ontario Provincial Police since April 1998, holding various leadership roles such as Critical Incident Commander, Detachment Commander, and Acting Inspector. Responsibilities have included managing major incidents in collaboration with partner agencies and overseeing the Provincial Communication Centre to ensure continuous dispatch and 911 services. As a Staff Sergeant, Simon Hardy served as both operations and administrative manager at one of the largest OPP detachments. Earlier roles included Sergeant and Detective Constable, focusing on street crime and major criminal investigations, as well as serving as a Provincial Constable. Additionally, Simon Hardy was involved with the North Glengarry Fire Department as Deputy Station Chief from 2003 to 2018. Simon Hardy holds an Honours Bachelor of Arts in History and Political Science from Mount Allison University.
