Panu Kangas

Panu Kangas has extensive experience in safety management and quality control, currently serving as Chairman of the Board at OP Liminka since December 2011, part of OP Financial Group. Previously, Panu held the position of Safety Engineer at Outokumpu from September 2021 to October 2024, focusing on contractor safety. Prior roles include SHEQ Manager at Synthomer Finland Oy for two decades, overseeing safety, health, environment, and quality management systems, and Laboratory Manager at Eka Chemicals. Panu's career began as a Chemist at Forchem Oy and Arizona Chemical, emphasizing quality control in chemical processes. Panu holds a Master’s degree in Chemistry from the University of Oulu and various specialist qualifications in vocational education and rural development.
