Ignacio Ibarguren

Ignacio Ibarguren, CFA, currently serves as the Director of Business Development at Opdenergy, where responsibilities include leading mergers and acquisitions and commercial transactions since June 2024. Previously, Ignacio held the position of VP of M&A and Commercial Transactions at Doral Renewables LLC from March 2021 to March 2024, focusing on the acquisition of renewable energy assets and negotiating power purchase agreements. Prior to that, Ignacio spent over 16 years at Tyr Energy, advancing through various roles to Sr. Director of Business Development, with a strong emphasis on cash and tax equity transactions. Ignacio began their career as a Financial Analyst at LRTC from 2001 to 2004. Ignacio holds a Chartered Financial Analyst designation from the CFA Institute, an M.B.A. in Finance from The University of Kansas, and a Licentiate in Economics from Universidad Nacional de Córdoba.
