Christina Monaco is an accomplished leader in the geospatial intelligence field, currently serving as the Chief Operating Officer at The Open Geospatial Consortium since September 2024. Prior to this role, Christina held the position of Vice President of Programs at the United States Geospatial Intelligence Foundation from December 2020 to September 2024. Christina’s extensive experience at the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency from 2013 to 2020 includes roles such as Chief Ventures Officer, where Christina established new partnerships to enhance GEOINT innovation, and Deputy Director of Xperience, focusing on customer-centric initiatives. Earlier experience at the Defense Intelligence Agency included leadership roles in Congressional Affairs and financial operations, alongside a tenure at the Office of Naval Intelligence managing international collaboration and foreign technology acquisition. Christina holds a Master of National Resource Strategy from National Defense University, a Master of International Management from the University of Maryland Global Campus, and a Bachelor of Arts in Russian and English from Vanderbilt University.
