Pamela Funai

Pamela Funai is a seasoned professional in grant management and philanthropic services, currently serving as a Senior Grants Officer at Open Society Foundations since April 2019, where oversight of over 500 annual grants ensures compliance with statutory requirements and foundation policies. Previously, Funai held various roles at Hawaii Community Foundation, including Program Director, where leadership of a team focused on private foundation services contributed to the growth of grantmaking programs. Additional experience includes consulting on strategic planning for cultural organizations at Kawaihoa Consulting and serving as Hawaii Regional Director at Go For Broke National Education Center, implementing educational programs and community partnerships. Funai holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Development from the University of Hawaii at Manoa.
