Sriya Santhanam

Sriya Santhanam is an experienced engineering professional currently working at OpenAI since July 2023. Previously, Sriya served as Director of Engineering at eightfold.ai from December 2020 to October 2022, where key contributions included ownership of the Job Seeker vertical and successful delivery on several product initiatives. At Facebook, from February 2011 to December 2019, Sriya advanced from Senior Staff Software Engineer to Senior Engineering Manager, leading the Social Impact organization and scaling the team from 6 to over 70 engineers while also managing significant ad experiences generating a large portion of Facebook's revenue. Earlier experience includes a role as Staff Engineer at VMware, contributing to virtual machine management technologies, and a research assistant position at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Sriya holds an M.S. in Computer Science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and completed high school education at PSBB from 1993 to 1999.
