Nic Lawrence

Nic Lawrence is a seasoned professional in business development and engineering, currently serving as the Director of Business Development at Optalysys since January 2025, where a focus is placed on secure computing and encrypted data technology. As the CEO and Co-Founder of Genee Labs since February 2021, Nic has been instrumental in creating a real-time offer marketplace for local businesses. Previous roles include Product Director at Cambridge Touch Technologies, Product Manager at Fetch.ai, and Vice President of Advanced Collaboration at Lifesize. Nic also co-founded Kaptivo, serving as Chief Customer Officer and President for Europe. Early career experiences at Light Blue Optics and Cambridge University laid the groundwork in product management and electronic design, culminating in a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Cambridge.
