Mac Cooney is an accomplished composer and audio engineer, serving as the owner of Cooney Studio since January 2002, specializing in composition and arranging for classical, stage, film, TV, and media. In addition to studio work, Mac has held the position of Director of Music for the Order of Malta since May 2016, coordinating music for the American association's annual Lourdes Pilgrimage. As an Adjunct Professor of Music at Fairfield University since 2008, Mac instructs students in music technology, and has also served as Music Director, Choirmaster, and Organist at Our Lady of the Assumption since 2007, leading various musical ensembles and planning music for multiple weekly services. Previous experience includes roles as Faculty at the University of Connecticut and Music Director at Saint Francis of Assisi. Mac’s extensive education includes a Graduate Degree in Music Theory and Composition from the Film Scoring Academy of Europe, a Master of Music in Piano, and a Bachelor of Music in Piano, both from the University of Connecticut. Additionally, Mac served in the Army National Guard from 1993 to 2001.
