Erick Sheftic, MD (he/him/his) is a board-certified Psychiatrist and Co-Founder of Accelerated Psychiatry, an Interventional Psychiatry clinic in Madison, Wisconsin.
He received his BS in Biology with Minors in Chemistry and Psychology from The College of Charleston, his MD from the University of South Carolina School of Medicine, and completed Psychiatry Residency at the University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics. After graduating from residency, he joined the faculty at the University of Wisconsin, with a practice combination of inpatient, outpatient, teaching, quality improvement, and interventional activities. With the recognition of the growing need for powerful interventions such as Ketamine and Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation, combined with the desire to create a clinic that was specialized, forward-thinking, and science-driven, he and co-founders Brendon Nacewicz MD PhD and Rena Doyle RN BSN launched Accelerated Psychiatry in April 2022.
As a member of the Osmind Community Advisory Board, he hopes to contribute his on-the-ground knowledge of Interventional Psychiatry practice, with special attention to reducing clinician burnout, improving systems of care, and orientation toward modern and emerging treatments.
