Francois du Toit

Francois du Toit is a Technical Carbon Manager at Ostrom Climate Solutions Inc. since August 2024, with prior experience as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of British Columbia's Faculty of Forestry from November 2022 to October 2024. At the University of British Columbia, Francois served as a Graduate Teaching Assistant and a PhD Candidate, focusing on airborne laser scanning to study genetically improved Douglas-fir in breeding trials. Additional experience includes roles as a Junior Geologist at Aurora Geosciences Ltd., Lead Groundsman and Junior Tree Climber at Arbutus Tree Service Ltd., and a Field Assistant at the Austrian Geological Survey. Francois holds a PhD in Forestry, a Master's in Geomatics for Environmental Management, and a Bachelor's in Geology/Earth Science from the University of British Columbia.
