Kirsty Walker

Kirsty Walker is an experienced professional in the fields of heritage and archival research, currently serving as the Built Heritage Research Coordinator at the City of Ottawa since July 2023. Responsibilities include maintaining the Heritage Register and processing Ontario Heritage Act requests, along with conducting historical research. Previous roles encompass positions at Know History Inc. as a Historical Researcher, where genealogical and archival research was conducted, and at ASI as an Archaeological Field Technician, performing various archaeological assessments. Additional experience includes roles at the Canadian Museum of Nature, The County of Brant Public Library, the National Air Force Museum of Canada, and others, showcasing a strong background in historical and cultural heritage. Kirsty Walker holds a Records and Information Management Certificate from Fleming College, an Advanced Diploma in Applied Museum Studies from Algonquin College, and a Bachelor of Arts in Classical Studies and History from the University of Guelph.
