Richard Doren

Richard J. Doren is a partner in Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher’s Los Angeles office, where he has practiced law since 1986. He also serves as a member of the firm’s Executive Committee.

Mr. Doren is a litigator and trial lawyer who has handled cases in venues throughout the country. The cases he has handled and results he has achieved have been recognized by various legal publications including the National Law Journal, The American Lawyer, and The Daily Journal. In 2021, he served as lead counsel for Apple in a three-week trial defending against antitrust claims brought by Epic Games. Following the Court’s ruling in favor of Apple, he was recognized as The American Lawyers Litigator of the Week.

Mr. Doren handles cases in a variety of substantive areas. In addition to antitrust, he has handled cases involving insurance, accounting malpractice, RICO, ERISA, product liability, patent infringement, and bankruptcy, among others.
