Mehrdad Nazari

Mehrdad Nazari is an experienced professional in environmental, social, and governance (ESG) practices, currently serving as Director of the Independent Accountability Mechanism at the U.S. International Development Finance Corporation since March 2024. As the founder of Prizma, an ESG advisory practice established in October 2004, Mehrdad Nazari has focused on enhancing clients' operational sustainability. Previous roles include expertise at the Green Climate Fund as a Subject Expert for the Independent Redress Mechanism, and at the Inter-American Development Bank as an Independent Environmental and Social Expert. Additional experience includes leadership positions in corporate responsibility and environmental specialist roles, alongside a strong academic background comprising degrees in Hydrogeology, Sustainability Studies, and Business Administration.
