Alastair Taylor

Alastair Taylor has extensive experience in engineering and product management, currently serving as an Owlstone Fellow and VP of Engineering at Owlstone Medical since April 2006, overseeing engineering development and project delivery. Previous roles include Chief Product Manager and Head of Mechanical at the same company, where responsibilities encompassed product design, project management, and mechanical team leadership. Alastair is also the Managing Director of Whatgas Ltd, a crowdsourcing website for petrol prices, and the Owner of Whatprice Ltd, a site focused on home improvement information. Early career experiences include engineering positions at Syrris, Biorobotics Ltd, and Severn Trent, where contributions involved product development and design in various fields, including robotics and water treatment. Alastair holds a Master of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Cambridge and completed A-levels in Maths and Sciences at Abingdon School.
