Karen Cariss

Karen Cariss is the Chair of the Board and Co-founder of PageUp, an award winning global talent management Software as a Service (SaaS) company. She is the driving force behind the company’s global success since its humble beginnings in 1997 and is responsible for setting the strategic direction, ensuring synergies across all its divisions. Karen is regularly cited by media commentators as one of the HR technology industry’s exceptional entrepreneurs.

Her extreme passion and relentless drive to help companies propel peoples’ careers through technology innovation has been acknowledged by several publications and awards. In 2015 Karen featured as one of Australia’s Top 50 Influential Women Entrepreneurs by Rare Birds and was previously named one of BRW’s Top 50 Female Entrepreneurs in 2006 before going on to win the Ernst and Young ‘Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award’ in 2008 and ‘Victorian Telstra Women’s Business Award’ in 2009. She is formerly qualified with a Bachelor of Applied Science and Honours in Science.

Karen remains at the forefront of leading industry research as the co-author of several books including: Cliffhanger: HR on the Precipice in the Future of Work (2017), Talented Southeast Asia (2014) and Talented Philippines (2015).

Born in Australia, Karen experiences talented Southeast Asia firsthand. She currently resides in Singapore with her family.
