Joel Hoots

Joel Hoots, MS, CRC is a dedicated Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor with extensive experience in supporting disabled veterans and individuals with disabilities. Currently employed at Paralyzed Veterans of America since November 2019, Joel provides one-on-one vocational counseling to veterans and their families, enhancing their quality of life post-military service through various engaging activities. Prior to this role, Joel served as a Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor at Workforce Solutions of West Central Texas, where critical thinking and decision-making skills were applied in the Vocational Rehabilitation program. An earlier internship as an Access Consultant at Northern Illinois University involved aiding students with disabilities in transitioning to college, complemented by experience as an Operations Supervisor that involved event coordination and staff mentoring. Joel holds a Master of Science in Rehabilitation Counseling and a Bachelor’s Degree in Health Services from Northern Illinois University.
