Jim McCray

Jim McCray currently serves as the Managing Editor at Paramount since December 2024, previously holding the position of Assignment Manager at FOX 5 San Diego from May 2021 to December 2024. At FOX 5 San Diego, Jim managed a dual-station Assignment Desk, leading multiple editorial meetings and collaborating with producers while supporting staff development. Prior to this, Jim spent five years at WCPO-TV, first as a Senior Assignment Editor and then as the Manager of Real Time Operations, where Jim oversaw the integration of newsroom functions and ensured real-time coverage accuracy. Other roles include Assignment Editor at WZTV FOX 17 and WYFF, along with experience as a Talent Spotter and Sports Producer at WBAL-TV11. Jim holds an Associate's degree in News and Sports from the Broadcasting Institute of Maryland.
