Abigail Milburn

Abigail Milburn is an experienced legal professional currently serving as Associate Parliamentary Counsel at the Parliamentary Counsel Office in New Zealand since May 2023. Prior to this role, Milburn worked as a Senior Solicitor at the Ministry for Primary Industries from February 2023 to April 2023. Milburn's extensive background includes positions at Thomson Reuters New Zealand as the Practical Law New Zealand Lead and Senior Portfolio Editor from May 2016 to December 2022, as well as earlier roles at Thomson Reuters as a Consultant Legal Editor. Additionally, Milburn has held of counsel and associate positions at Bingham McCutchen LLP and Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft LLP, respectively, and began the legal career as a Solicitor at Buddle Findlay. Milburn holds a first-class honours LLB and BA in Law and History from the University of Canterbury, completed in 1995.
