Mahmood Haghshenas

Mahmood Haghshenas is a highly experienced electrical engineering professional specializing in high voltage (HV) design and project management. Currently serving as Principal HV Primary Engineer at Partum Engineering Pty Ltd, Mahmood has successfully developed HV Primary designs for significant projects, including the Baranduda BESS 400MW and EHV substations in the TasNetworks NWTD Project. Prior roles include Principal T&D Lead at Aurecon, where Mahmood led HV design teams on rail and utility projects, and Principal T&D Engineer at Aecom Australia. With a strong background in rail electrification, substations design, and power system solutions across various firms such as Siemens and Alstom Grid Australia, Mahmood's technical acumen is backed by a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Power Engineering from K.N.T. University of Technology and the University of Tehran, respectively.
