Verena Schubert

Verena Schubert is a sustainability professional with extensive experience in engineering and consulting roles. Currently serving as Head of Sustainability at Pathzero since August 2021, Verena has also held positions such as Senior Manager Sustainability Consulting and Sustainability Lead. Prior to this, Verena worked at Shell Energy Australia as Engineering Team Lead and at ERM Power (now Shell Energy) in a similar capacity. Verena began a career in energy efficiency at Out Performers, progressing from Engineering Team Leader to Energy Efficiency Engineer. Academic qualifications include a Master of Science in Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency from the University of Kassel and a Bachelor of Science in Process and Environmental Engineering from the University of Applied Science Heilbronn, complemented by technical training as a Chemical Assistant. Early research experience includes roles at Fraunhofer IGB and positions focusing on wastewater nutrient recovery and solar combisystems.
