Amer Akhtar

Amer Akhtar is an Advisor at PayActiv, a company that provides financial wellness solutions for hourly and salaried workers. Amer was previously an intern at Progressive Education Network and Techlogix. At Progressive Education Network, they wrote, designed, edited, and produced the Spring 2018 Newsletter. Amer also conducted research on a variety of different problems plaguing the public-private education sector in Pakistan. Amer became the Intern Coordinator and was tasked with designing challenging tasks for other interns with respect to the projects given. Amer was also in charge of evaluating the content created and maintaining quality control measures. At Techlogix, they conducted research and analysis on the global education sector specifically identifying potential markets for Campus on Cloud, a SaaS based software for managing universities and colleges. Research helped secure a major client in the Africa region. Amer was promoted to a sales intern and accompanied sales staff in meetings with prospects. Tasked with updating Salesforce.com with meetings and followups and capturing new leads and contacts. Amer learned how to use Microsoft Power BI to prepare sample dashboards for Campus on Cloud. These analytics were then used in sales presentations to prospective clients.

Amer Akhtar holds a Bachelor's degree in Economics and Amer'story from the University of Michigan. Amer is also certified from IDEO U in Foundations in Design Thinking, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in Digital Media and Marketing Strategies, Google in Advanced Google Analytics, and HubSpot Academy in Inbound and Inbound Marketing.
