Karlijn Muiderman

Karlijn Muiderman is a researcher currently affiliated with PBL Planbureau voor de Leefomgeving since October 2024. Prior to this role, Muiderman worked as a researcher at The Netherlands Institute for Social Research (SCP) from July 2022 to October 2024, and was a PhD researcher at the Copernicus Institute of Sustainable Development, Utrecht University, from October 2017 to October 2022, where the focus included anticipatory climate governance. Muiderman coordinated the 'RE-IMAGINE' project, which involved collaboration among multiple universities and organizations to enhance climate governance in vulnerable regions. Previous roles also included knowledge broker at Food & Business Knowledge Platform and The Broker, project officer at Stichting Socires, and editorial intern positions. Muiderman holds an MA in Journalism from the University of South Wales and has degrees in International Development Studies and Cultural Anthropology and Development Studies from the University of Amsterdam and Radboud University, respectively.
