Eric Carter

Eric Carter has extensive experience in the mining industry, currently serving as General Manager at Peabody Energy since September 2011, with prior roles including Sr. Manager, Underground Superintendent, and Mine Manager. Responsibilities include driving continuous improvement through data generation and enhancing operational efficiency. Carter has also cultivated a strong safety culture and managed production schedules to meet demands. Prior experience includes positions at Air Quality Mine, where Carter held roles such as Shift Mine Manager and Assistant Mine Manager, along with earlier experience as Section Foreman at Peabody Energy Air Quality. Carter holds an Associate of Science degree in General Studies from Vincennes University.
