Mark Hamilton

Mark Hamilton is an accomplished Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Manager with a robust background in GIS and application development. Currently serving at Peak District National Park Authority since January 2015, Mark previously held key positions at South Yorkshire Police, including IS Team Lead and GIS Manager. Mark's earlier career includes roles at Royal & Sun Alliance and Independent Insurance Company Ltd, where Mark implemented and supported GIS solutions to enhance underwriting processes. Additionally, Mark has experience as a Senior Environmental Engineer at Environmental Risk Services Ltd, focusing on environmental assessments and GIS risk management. Mark's foundational education includes an MSc in Engineering Geology from the University of Leeds and a BSc in Geology from the University of Southampton.
