Laura Schwartz

Laura Schwartz is an experienced Pathologists’ Assistant with a solid background in surgical specimen preparation and analysis. Currently employed at Peconic Bay Medical Center since April 2022, Laura has previously held similar roles at Catholic Health Services from January 2018 to April 2022, and NYU Winthrop Hospital from June 2016 to November 2017. Laura's expertise includes gross description, photography, and sampling of routine and complex surgical specimens, as well as selecting tissue for specialized studies. Laura's educational background includes a Master’s Degree in Pathology/Pathologist Assistant from Quinnipiac University and a Bachelor’s degree in Biology from Emmanuel College (Boston). Prior to professional roles, Laura completed various internships as a Pathologists’ Assistant student at multiple healthcare institutions.
