Ruud Out

Ruud Out is a seasoned scientific professional with extensive experience in research and development, currently serving as a Scientific Advisor at Pelagen since July 2023. Previously, Ruud held multiple leadership roles at Meatable, including VP of Research and Development, Director of Research and Development, Director of Research, and Head Scientist, from September 2018 to November 2024. Additional positions include Senior Scientist at NTrans Technologies BV (August 2017 - July 2018), and various roles in research and development at BioMarin Nederland B.V., Piculet Biosciences, FlexMers B.V., and FlexGen. Ruud's academic background includes postdoctoral research at Leiden University focusing on nuclear receptors, transporters in lipid regulation, and a PhD in Medical Biology from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam.
