Jason Aro

Jason Aro is an accomplished legal professional with extensive experience in corporate law, compliance, and risk management. Currently serving as General Counsel & Chief Compliance Officer at Pender Capital since January 2022, Jason previously held General Counsel positions at Athas Capital Group and Rama Capital Partners. Prior to that, Jason was Assistant General Counsel and Head of Compliance at Wedgewood Inc., and served as Assistant General Counsel and Senior Vice President at Bank of America, specifically overseeing mortgage-related legal guidance during a period of intense regulatory scrutiny. Additional experience includes leadership roles at JG Real Estate Holdings and Aimco Apartment Homes, along with a solid foundation as a Senior Associate at Allen Matkins and Associate Attorney at Hunton Andrews Kurth LLP. Jason earned a J.D. from Southwestern Law School and a B.A. in English from UC Irvine.
