Kyler Alvord

Kyler Alvord is an experienced journalist and editor, currently serving as the Lead Politics Editor at PEOPLE Magazine since May 2021, where responsibilities also included working as an Associate Crime Editor. Prior to this role, Kyler was a Staff Writer at Thrillist, contributing to travel and New York content, and has extensive freelance experience, editing articles and book copy while generating editorial content for various local newspapers and nonprofit organizations. Additional experience includes guest news editing for Westwind Magazine at Walla Walla University, an internship with CBS News, and roles in public relations and media consultation. Kyler holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications with a focus on Journalism and Public Relations from Walla Walla University.
