Stephen Lanahan

Stephen Lanahan is an Analyst at Perceptive Advisors, having joined the firm in February 2024. Prior to this role, Stephen served as a PhD Candidate in Immunology at Yale University School of Medicine from August 2017 to December 2023, conducting research under Dr. Carrie Lucas. Stephen co-founded the New Haven Chapter of Nucleate Bio and worked previously as an intern at Perceptive Advisors in 2023 and as a Canaan-Yale Fellow at Canaan from September 2021 to May 2022. Early research experience includes positions as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill focused on Cystic Fibrosis under Dr. Wolfgang (2015-2017), Duke University studying innate immunity under Dr. Coers (2015), and researching DNA repair mechanisms under Dr. Jinks-Robertson (2014). Stephen earned a Doctor of Philosophy in Immunobiology from Yale School of Medicine and holds a Bachelor of Science with Honors in Biology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
