Dana-Mae Grainger

Dana-Mae Grainger, Co-President of The Performance and Planning Exchange (PPX), has been a Board member of the PPX for number of years. She holds a Master of Arts from the University of Manitoba, a Certificate in Public Sector Management also from the University of Manitoba as well as a Honours Bachelor of Arts from McGill University. She spent 35 years in the Federal public service in a number of different departments including but not limited to Canadian Heritage as well as Foreign Affairs and International Trade Canada. In these organizations, she held a series of increasingly responsible positions, including Director of Strategic Planning at the Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade. She has a solid background in public opinion research, socio-economic analysis, sector evaluation, risk management, performance measurement frameworks, and government-wide processes pertaining to the Management, Resources, Results Structure Policy-Program Activity Architecture (MRSS-PAA) and the Management Accountability Framework (MAF). She has chaired professional symposiums, and made presentations to organizations such as the Conference Board of Canada, the Canadian Evaluation Society and the Canadian Archaeological Association. She has also organized learning events related to planning, results-based management as well as performance frameworks.
